thank you for your #14867 message, surely i understand you here but we also agreed for the mobile app development and was not aware that there is some other part involved in this.
Since we agreed with your HUGE budget we did not planned any other expenses as they were not mentioned before our agreement for app development. If you would say that before that your budget $ + backend customization $ we unlikely would agreed for that unless it fits to already discussed budget and thus we already put all this year funds allowance for your big budget requested.
WHAT HAPPENED NOW
from the situation above we are now facing hidden cost conflict. As you probably aware that we always need to disclose all the areas for customer that they need to pay and what they get. As per your messaging now we understand that after agreed budget paid the APP still not going to be in the condition of 100% usable as require ETXRA backend customization.
We are now realized that to make mobile APP functioning we require an additional developer hire for your APP development to comply (which has not been disclosed before). Now when you referring to: “Please understand that our agreement was specifically for mobile app development and did not include backend development” causing hidden works and cost have not been discussed. Thus we can not put this hidden cost conflict upon customers shoulders.
WHAT TO DO NOW
For your: “please hire a separate developer for website backend customization to work on Fire Base Notification too”
For the projects assigned to you (your company DE URO) these will be fair to get one responsibility for the project which is also our policy – this mainly to avoid any other conflict of interest. This means you probably be a developer who needs to do that. However from your message above I assume we are hearing for funding this subtask which is not discussed and planned.
So I would suggest the following resolutions scenarios:
1) Is from all above I would suggest you to do back end alignments as per your #14848 ” just needs FCM enabled (their dev adds 1 line if needed“. – is not a big drama to accomplish. So we will go for testing and pay discussed budget.
2) As from all above we did not planned any other expenses apart from those mentioned and already reserved for Friends Messenger APP” and if we now looking at hidden cost issue we may need to put this APP job on hold – probably till next year further decisions.
3) The other solution is – you can send me step by step clear instruction on how to connect / customize back end area so I can try to help you with this so we could complete this job and go for testing and pay discussed budget.
Hiring third part developer is not the case in this situation due to obvious policy breach that may be resulting of the conflict of interest and this may bring worse consequences as we see now.
